Taipei fam trip
March 07, 2018
Hello my readers ♡ Thanks for stopping by again and the long waited Taiwan trip post is finally up!!!!! (But then the vlog is still in progress and I apologise for that HAHAHA)
This post is mainly about my Taipei trip (yes taipei only) with my family during the end of January till the beginning of February. I think we somehow went there at the wrong timing because it was really really really cold and it was raining almost everyday :( (except the our first day of the trip).
In this post, I didn't do (kinda lazy to do) any fancy collages or doodles on my photos (so I just go for the simple, clean and neat collages this time c:) and most of the pictures were taken at Ximending (unless stated) and I took quite less photo (and videos as well) compared to my graduation trip last year (click here to read the post) because of the weather + I wanna enjoy the trip with my family c:
So I'm not gonna explain/ type much and I hope you enjoyed the photos hehe! :D
All the photos were taken by me and photos of me were taken by my mom using the Nikon D5100 18-55mm / 50mm prime lens. ;)
Tips for not getting fat angle selfie with the Taipei 101 tower: Taking photo under the tower is a HUGE MISTAKE!!!
If you want to take a full body/ half body portrait with the tower like what I did, try go a few station (I mean metro station) away from the Taipei 101 station and you'll definitely can get a great shot without having double chin :P Mine was taken at the Sun Yat-sen memorial hall :D
(Taken @ East Metro Mall (东区地下街))
(Taken @ Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall)
(Taken @美观园-日本料理 (sorry I have no idea what is this place called in english but it is located in ximending))
(Taken @ Taoyuan MRT)
The following is one of the prettiest café I've visited in Taipei (so far), and to what I have known, the cafe owner of this shop is a "名模" (model) and she was intended to make every corner of the shop Insta worthy \。(✿‿✿)。/ (click here to check out her Instagram)
This were taken at the other side of the cafe and the coffee shop was divided into two different theme.
The cafe will be open at 10:30am to 5:30pm, and then 5:30pm onwards (till midnight 12am) the cafe is no longer a cafe but BAR!!!
Here's another cute cafe that I've visited: 雨田先生手冲饮品吧! (@mrRdrinks)
And yes!!! I actually went there for the cute little Shiba inu drink hehe c:
This drink is called "部长鲜奶茶" (Minister milk tea), and the minister here is referring to the Shiba inu itself. This drink is only available in hot and the shiba inu is actually a marshmallow, so you better be fast (taking photos) or else your Shiba inu might die (drowned in the milk tea) :P
On a side note, this cafe is really small and there are no seats available. So try not to visit there during a rainy day/ at night or else you will end up standing and having your drink in front of the shop because you have nowhere else to go and smile awkwardly to the shop owner like me. 😂
As promised in my Insta story, (I've posted a poll on whether I should share my list of places to visit in Taipei on my blog or not and majority of you voted YES c:) I've uploaded a pdf file below so that you can download it and save it to your phone/ print it out! (Well it's up to you, you can do anything you want to it hehe)
All you have to do is click the button that says "pop out" on the top right corner and it should link you to another new tab where you can save this pdf file there :D
If you are planning to share it to your blog/ Facebook page or any other platforms, do remember to give me credits (because it is rude not to do so) and that means a lot to me :') Tyvm ♡
I only visited the first three café during the trip, was expecting myself to visit at least 4 or 5 cafes from my list but the weather doesn't allow me to do so :( For my readers/ friends who can't read chinese, I'm so so so so sorry that I made this pdf file in Chinese 😭😥 Perhaps if you are planning to visit those cafe by Uber/ taxi, maybe you could show the driver this pdf and you point to them the address you wanna go! I'm sorry and I hope this helps :(
For no. 10: That "Ootoro Milk" is actually a standalone pop-store and is not related to the cafe (the original location that I've typed in the pdf) and it is only available for a short period of time only. According to the Taiwanese food blogger @rock_love_food, he told me that the pop-up store is not available anymore (that explain why I use a big pink box to block the whole thing there HAHAHA)
Special thanks to @cutect1688, @bnbnlovefood, @47_food.life, @rock_love_food, @nainalovefood, @lovefoodquestion for allowing me to use their photos!!! These food bloggers post delicious-looking photos and that's where I got all my pdf's information from!!! Do check them out if you're planning to visit Taiwan so you can have an idea of where you should visit :P
Hope you have a nice week! 💕
